Taking Inspiration from the DIY Community!
Community Labs have been around a little over 10 years. The first ones were founded in the Bay Area (BioCurious) and New York City (Genspace). There have been many more labs that have sprung up across the world appearing in peoples garages, universities, and community spaces.
We believe in making science accessible and fun. We also believe in incorporating indigenous knowledge and traditional skillsets into the growing field of biotechnology. The applications are endless and science is a tool for all to lear from.
Our community lab at Origin Earth will be primarily focused on crating new materials and ways of constructing these materials into useful artistic pieces merging ancient knowledge with our modern day skill set. We hold a vision of the future were everything is grown.
